While biblical accounts and history reveal that a paid staff is not a necessary component of a healthy church, it can certainly be an effective addition to her ministry. We hold to the picture Paul describes in Ephesians 4:11-16: that Christ has given different leadership gifts to the church not to minister in lieu of the whole, but to equip the whole church for the ministry of reconciliation. As a leadership team, we attempt to serve and equip the members of his body for this ministry.
The church is the people, and the people are the church. "Church" isn't what we do on Sunday mornings, it's who we are when we are gathered together, whether in groups of two or 2000. We gather at different times for different reasons, and these are a few of the gatherings that are part of the rhythm of our family.
As a church we feel that our foundation should be the same. We have worked hard as a body of believers to be unified in our foundational beliefs. To see a copy of these beliefs, click on the links below.

We recognize that we are but part of the body of Christ, that not all parts are alike, and that the body works when its different parts are joined in unity. We are committed to joining in the work of God in the entire world, starting with where we are rooted in McAlester, OK. Here are some other local congregations with whom we are laboring in this city (if you have another to add to the list, please contact us with the info).
If you have questions, concerns, ideas, needs, or stories – shoot us a message. On the other side of this contact form are people just like you, and we like meeting new people. Feel free to come by the office or give us a call as well!
